About this item
A splendid old hotelware English silver plated champagne wine ice bucket or cooler with matching scrolled stand, made for Trusthouses Forte in the 1960s. Old hotel silverware was always made to the highest standard because of the amount of use it wold have. Seen as an alternative to the solid silver used in private houses, the silver plating was made extra think to make sure that it lasted with daily use. The twin handed wine bucket and the stand both show little wear to their silver plating. Makers mark for Larder & Burgess, Sheffield.
