A large and unusual gilt bronze and crystal chandelier

A large and unusual  ormolu and crystal glass chandelier. The openwork frame with seven scrolling foliate cast uprights, each with four sconces, the other sockets interspersed between the uprights on a foliate cast circlet, around a central stem of excellent quality cut glass mouldings, rising past further foliate cast branches to a hanging ring, adorned overall with cut glass stars and pendants, thirty five lights. Circa 1815.
