Collender Goldsmith (England, 1800-1900) signed equestrian portrait oil. This intimate and delicately rendered portrait features a chestnut thoroughbred standing at rest in his soft hay strewn stall with a rug. Signed lower left . A small bleed or mend top left seen in picture four.
Collender Goldsmith is a listed and renowned British artist widely known for his equestrian oil paintings. His signature style featured horses of fame and renown, pictured in intimate stall settings with blankets, and sometimes terriers.
