Hand-Painted Olive Triangle Chest of Drawers
Dimensions H79cm W107cm D47cm
A unique vintage chest, transformed by French Mirror House into functional art for the home.
This beautiful vintage chest of drawers has been completely reimagined using colours inspired from my visit to Tuscany.
The original warm timber chest has been given a wonderfully textured, time-worn finish in soft aged cream, muted olive green and touches of warm mustard.
A repeating hand-painted triangle design runs across the drawer fronts and continues around both sides of the chest. Small mustard centres break up the olive pattern, while layers of distressing and carefully applied patina soften the whole design and give the impression that it has evolved naturally over many years.
The top has deliberately been kept quieter, with a textured aged-cream centre surrounded by an olive and mustard painted border. The dark iron ring handles complement the aged finish beautifully.
The chest provides four generous drawers — two smaller drawers above two full-width drawers — and remains a very practical piece of furniture.
Hand painted and finished individually by French Mirror House in Kent.

Please note: the image against a yellow wall is combining my chest with a photo I took in Scarperia Italy, all other photographs show the actual piece in my garden room.
