A very fine 19th Century marquetry marble top chest of drawers of serpentine form, finely hand carved with gorgeously rich patination and grain. Ormolu mounted throughout and intricately inlaid with beautiful marquetry panels depicting exquisite flowerheads and scrolling foliate motif detail. The shaped and moulded Rosso Levante marble top raised over three long drawers with finely cast ormolu escutcheons and decorative scroll pulls, the corners with foliate ormolu appointments, all above shaped apron, terminating on slender tapering leg with fine cast sabots.
