A very fine 19th Century pair of marble top kingwood chests of grand proportions, fabulously hand carved and ormolu mounted throughout with gorgeously rich patination and grain. The gorgeous moulded, serpentine Rosso Levante marble top of rectangular form is raised over two quarter veneered drawers with finely cast decorative ormolu scroll pulls. Raised above shaped apron with further ormolu foliate detail, supported on elegant tapering cabriole leg, terminating on foliate cast sabot foot.
