About this item
This is an extremely heavy, substantial, over scale trunk from Shan Xi province, China's ancient frontier. The completely solid wood trunk has a thick top that displays beautiful patina achieved over time. The framework and legs are solid and strong. The connected base is a whopping 8" tall with 5" thick woods. Clean, original interior. Stunning solid iron hardware. This trunk chest almost has a Spanish colonial look and will go well with Spanish, Flemish or other bold interior decor. Solid wood. Tenons and mortises.
