About this item
An impressive rustic French buffet in chestnut, oak and walnut with inlays, carved decoration, stud work and interesting fretted metal lattice along the length of the one full width drawer, Possibly of Breton origin as the studwork is reminiscent of that found commonly on large Breton coffers. Various marks etc commensurate with age and movement evident in right hand door, which still locks however. Good colour / patina consistent with a piece that has enjoyed a life of use and care.
