A three piece Art Deco garniture set with a central clock and a pair of matching vases, made in Belgium at Wasmuël with a French movement fitted to the dial. The set is built around sharp, stepped forms and a diamond framed clock face that defines the centrepiece.
The colour does the heavy lifting. Mottled orange runs across the bodies, broken up with mauve pink and deep blue panels, all pulled together with gilt lines that lock the shapes in place. The vases carry the same structure and palette, so the whole set reads as one design.
