    About this item

    A beautiful pair of polychrome painted elbow chairs. In the Hepplewhite manner dating from the latter part of the 19th Century. C.1880's

    Painted in an Ochre Yellow with profuse painted decoration of flowers, husks and details taken from the neoclassical style. Undoubtedly a pair although the flowers to the backs are different.

    The paint work is all original and hasn't been "touched up " or enhanced. Mahogany framed.

    Upholstered in a lined chenile velvet with 5 button detail in a pale green which complements the decoration.

    All in sound condition. A highly decorative handsome pair of chairs.
