    About this item

A rare large Charles II oak coffer, possibly Welsh, with exceptional carving, the top rail and drawer with entwined leaves and the two panels carved with dragons.Excellent carving down the stiles and in original condition throughout, we believe this coffer may be from the Welsh Borders and has similar leaf carving to a side table (see photo) we purchased many years ago from the same area. Date Circa 1680.
