    About this item

A rare, Nailsea glass trumpet. The Nailsea glassworks, which was near to Bristol, opened in 1788 and closed down in 1873. In the Victorian period, at the end of the day, left over coloured glass would be worked together into various shapes and these were often referred to as friggers. You will often seen walking sticks, pipes, and cheroot holders but we have never seen trumpets before. This is quite exceptional and it dates from c.1860. It is made from a combination of green, red, blue and white glass and it is in perfect condition.

    Dimensions: Length 43.5cm. Diameter 10.2cm. Width 12.5cm.

Price includes postage within the U.K. Shipping to the U.S.A. add £40.  Most of Western Europe add £20.
