    About this item

A very nice, reclaimed, early Victorian cast iron boot scraper, C.1849-50 . The arched scraper is designed to be recessed or concreted into an exterior wall and has a good design, typical of the era. The boot scraper has been blacked and polished and it has a nice finished. The scraper is in good antique condition with some small signs of age, as expected. There are some casting marks and some pitting. The iron has some small knocks and scratches. Please see pictures for condition details. The boot scraper is a charming period item and it would make a great feature for a home.
