Very elegant 19th century Italian rosewood and kingwood marquetry inlaid commode chest of drawers.
Lovely gentle serpentine shape to the sides and front of the chest, with the contrast of the rosewood to the kingwood making this a great decorative piece, although with the two full width drawers giving good storage as well as something fabulous to look at!
The drawer handles are not original but they suit well, being an old brass to coffer tone they really do compliment the chest.
Good condition, has aged well and is a wonderful colour.
