A Rare 19th Century Marble Top Antique Console Table

A rare 19th Century mahogany marble top console table, of neat proportions, fabulous quality and finely hand carved with rich patination and grain.  The moulded emperador marble top is raised over an elegant, moulded convex frieze with beading motif detail supported on tapering cabriole leg to the fore, beautifully decorated with acanthus leaves on knee, scrolls, fluted detail and terminating on lion paw foot, gorgeously carved in high relief.  The back is fitted with with a beautiful pleated silk panel flanked with ring turned columns, supported on moulded platform base.
