About this item
A French copper creme renversee pan and cover. This type of pan was for making the classic French Creme Caramel. This example is marked with a number “12’ to both the side of the pan and also to the lid, which relates to the diameter of the pan in centimetres. It is well made, from a heavy gauge of copper, and it dates from c.1890. There are flat copper handles to the sides and an acorn shaped, brass finial to the lid. It is in excellent condition and the interior has been re-tinned so that it can be used.
Dimensions: Diameter 12.2cm. width 17cm. Depth of plan 8.7cm. Overall height including the lid 10.8cm.
