About this item
A good quality, French copper gratin dish with attractively shaped, fixed, brass handles. This is stamped with the number “24” to both sides, close to the handles. The number relates to the diameter of the dish in centimetres. It is made from quite a heavy gauge of copper, dates from c.1890 and is in excellent condition. Although we have not had this piece re-tinned, the tinning is still in very good, usable condition. This type of dish is ideal for taking food straight from the oven to the table.
