About this item
A good quality, English copper preserve pan. This is marked, to the side, with “BENHAM & SONS LTD. WIGMORE ST.LONDON” within a strap shaped cartouche. There is also a workman’s mark to the base of the pan and the number “14” on both of the handles. This relates to the internal diameter of the pan. It is well made, from a very heavy gauge of copper, and there are castellated seams just up from the base of the pan around the side, and up the one side. These can be seen in the images. It has the standard English shape of brass handle and it dates from c.1890. It is in excellent condition.
Dimensions: Diameter of pan 37cm. Width across the handles 48.5cm. Depth of pan 12cm. Overall height including the handles 14cm.
Price includes postage within the U.K. Shipping to the U.S.A. add £50. Most of Western Europe add £25.
