About this item
A small, 19th century, copper water carrier. This would have been for use as a household water carrier rather than a garden watering can. It is well made, from a very heavy gauge of copper, and has attractive, heart shaped fittings to the handles. There is also a very neatly made, brass fitting on the folding handle. The piece is French and it dates from c.1860. There are a number of dents, from use, particularly to the hollow handle, but overall it is in good condition.
Dimensions: Height with handle folded 21cm. Length 42.5cm. Width 23.5cm.
