    About this item

A very unusual, English copper kettle of low, squat form. With the wide base this kettle is very stable and it could have possibly been made for use on a ship. It is well made, from a very heavy gauge of copper, and it has good, castellated seams around the base and up the side. There are brass fittings around the rim and to the handle and the lid has an acorn shaped, brass finial. There are no manufacturers marks but it is English and it dates from c.1860. It is in excellent condition and the tinning, to the interior, is still in usable condition.
Dimensions: Height to shoulder 10.2cm. Diameter 26cm. Width 36cm. Height to top of handle 26.5cm.
Price includes postage within the U.K. Shipping to the U.S.A. add £50. Most of Western Europe add £25.
