About this item
A large, nineteenth century, French copper, circular skimmer with a turned wooden handle. This type of utensil was used for skimming when making preserves. This example is made from a heavy gauge of copper and the handle is turned from oak. It dates from c.1870 and it is in excellent condition.
Dimensions: Length 62.7cm. Diameter 15.4cm.
