About this item
A super quality, 19th century, deep copper pie dish suitable for making a pie for a large family. This is French and it dates from c.1840. It is made from quite a heavy gauge of copper, has a rolled rim and a small, steel ring handle is attached so that it can hang when not in use. It is particularly deep and would be perfect for a large meat or fruit pie as it could be taken straight from the oven to the table.
There was a small split in the base but this has been repaired and the interior has been re-tinned so that it can be used.
Dimensions: Diameter 32cm. Depth 8cm.
