    About this item

    An early 19th century, blue and white, transfer printed plate. This is marked, in blue transfer print to the reverse, “ALNWICK CASTLE”. It depicts Alnwick Castle in Northumberland and is from a series of blue and white transfer ware with a passionflower border. The maker of this series is unknown but it dates from c1820. 

    Alnwick Castle was the seat of the Percy family but is now one of the largest uninhabited castles in the U.K. and was used in the Harry Potter movies.

    The plate is in excellent condition.

    We have four of these in stock and they are all in the same condition.

    Dimensions: Diameter 21.5cm. Depth 2.3cm.
