    About this item

An early 19th century, copper, half gallon harvest measure. This his made from a heavy gauge of copper, has castellated seams and a finger grip to the handle. There is an assay mark inside the rim, stamped “G R” to either side of a crown, above "239 L.C.C.” and the front of the jug is stamped with the measure “1/2 GALLON”.

    English. Date c.1830

Condition: Very minor denting to the bulbous section of the jug. The tinning, to the interior, is quite worn so it is no longer usable but it would make an excellent jug for flowers as it is still water tight.

    Dimensions: Height 21cm Diameter 19.5cm Width 27cm.

Price includes postage within the U.K. Shipping to the U.S.A. add £35. Most of Western Europe add £10.
