About this item
A nineteenth century, French copper, oval gratin dish. This is stamped with a number “36” which relates to the length of the dish. It is made from quite a heavy gauge of copper and has a rolled rim. There are substantial brass ring handles at each end and these are attached by nicely shaped, copper fittings. There is slight scratching to the base of the dish, from use, but otherwise it is in very good condition. The interior has been re-tinned so that it can be used. This type of dish is ideal for cooking a vegetable gratin or dauphinoise potatoes and taking it straight to the table to serve.
Dimensions: Length 37.2cm. Width 21.7cm. Depth 5cm.
Price includes postage within the U.K. Shipping to the U.S.A. add £30. Most of Western Europe add £15.
