    About this item

A charming, 19th century, pearlware child’s dinner service decorated with a blue transfer print which is over coloured with polychrome enamels. This has no manufacturers marks but it is English, it is lightly potted and it dates from c.1835. It comprises a large tureen, cover and stand, two small tureens, covers and stands, six graduated platters and a further one with gravy runs, two sauce boats, one with stand, a cover for a vegetable dish, 12 dinner plates, 9 dessert plates, 5 tiny tea plates, and 4 soup plates, 50 pieces in total.

There are a few minor faults, the worst being a chip to the spout of one of the sauce boats. There is a chip to the stand for the large tureen, small chips to 2 of the soup plates and 2 of the dinner plates, and very fine hairlines to 3 of the dessert plates.

Dimensions: The largest tureen, overall, is 14.7cm. long by 10.8cm. wide by 11.8cm. high. The smaller tureens are 11.7cm. long by 8.5cm wide by 9.8cm. high. The larger plates are 8.8cm diameter and the smallest plates are 4.7cm. diameter. The platters are graduated from 15.5cm. long down to 10.7cm.

Price includes postage within the U.K. Shipping to the U.S.A. add £50. Most of Western Europe add £20.
