About this item
A large, Victorian copper saucepan and cover. This is stamped, to the base, with the initials “A & N CSL” in a circular mark, and also the number “44”. This is the mark of the Army and Navy Co-operative Society Ltd which was set up on the 15th of September 1871 by a group of army and navy officers. The aim was to supply goods to its members at the lowest possible rates.
This pan is a very good quality, being made from a heavy gauge of copper. It measures 26cm. diameter by 16 cm. deep and the overall length of the pan and handle is 50.7cm. For a pan of this size it is in very good condition and still has a good, flat base. There is just very slight pitting to the copper. The interior has been re-tinned so that it can be used.
It date from c.1880.
Price includes postage within the U.K. Shipping to the U.S.A. add £50. Most of Western Europe add £20.
