    About this item

An oversized, Victorian coffee or chocolate pot. We have never seen a coffee pot in such a large size before and it could have been made for a large household or it may have been made as a shop advertisement. It is well made, from a heavy gauge of copper, and it has a castellated seam up the side and a rolled seam around the base. There is a mushroom shaped, brass finial to the lid and the turned wooden handle is attached by a copper fitting. There has been a small, soldered repair to the hinge on the lid and there is very minor denting to the copper. The tinning, to the interior, is worn so it could not be used but it is a very decorative piece.

    English. Date c.1860

Dimensions: Height 31cm  Width 41.5cm. Diameter at base 22.5cm.

Price includes postage within the U.K. Shipping to the U.S.A. add £50. Most of Western Europe add £20
