About this item
The Essentials
Large Saudi Arabian Al Quorasheia type dallah coffee pot Early to mid 20th century Brass and copper alloy with punched decoration and riveted fittings Good antique condition with patina and wear Arabic body stamp, hinged lid, tall finial and long spoutDescription
This is a large Saudi Arabian Al Quorasheia type dallah coffee pot, probably made in the Makkah tradition during the early to mid 20th century. It has the tall body, broad base, high finial and long raised spout shown on Al Quorasheia examples.
The body has two punched decorative bands with a shield shaped Arabic stamp set between them. The riveted handle, hinged lid and open spout show how the pot was made for Arabic coffee serving, with the stamp kept on the front of the body where it can still be seen.
