About this item
A super quality, set of four, French copper saucepans and covers with brass handles. Each pan and cover is marked “ETABLISSEMENTS ALLEZ FRERES PARIS”. This company started in the nineteenth century and closed down in the 1930’s and these pans dates from c.1900. The copperware produced by Allez Brothers was always of the top quality and the attractive trefoil shaped handle fittings seem to have only been used by this company, whether they are made from brass or steel. Each pan is also stamped with the size in centimetres and they range from ’18’, ’20’, ’22’ to ’24’, so the set is well graduated. All of the pans are made from an exceptionally heavy gauge of copper which has a planished finish. They are all in excellent condition, and they have all been re-tinned so that they can be used.
