About this item
A Victorian bread knife with a carved wooden handle. The steel blade is engraved with “Bread Knife” in an ornate script but this is now quite worn with use. The handle is deeply carved, in beechwood, with wheat. There is a very tight, hairline crack to the handle which is about 4.5cm. long. It dates from c.1880.
Dimensions: Length 31.4cm. Width of blade 3.2cm. Diameter of handle 3cm.
