    About this item

A small, nineteenth century, French copper, sugar bowl. This shape of bowl, with a round base and fixed handles to either side, was used for caramelising sugar when making sweets. This example has quite naively shaped, copper handles and was probably blacksmith made. It is made from a very heavy gauge of copper, dates from c.1860 and is in very good condition.

Dimensions: Diameter of bowl 28.5cm. Depth of bowl 10.4cm. Total width across the handles 32.6cm. Total height including the handles 14.5cm.

Price includes postage within the U.K. Shipping to the U.S.A. add £30. Most of Western Europe add £15.
