    About this item

A superb quality, 19th century, miniature cast iron stove along with a collection of miniature copperware from the same period. This is one of the best miniature stoves that we have seen. It is slightly larger than usual, measuring 45cm long by 27.5cm. wide by 30cm. high, it is complete and in full working order. It would have been made as a travellers sample, it dates from c.1880 and it has delightful moulded detail.

The collection of miniature copperware comprises a set of three saucepans, one with lid, a frying pan, a stockpot, a small casserole, a large rectangular casserole, a lidded jug, a gratin dish, a turbotiere and a large preserve pan. All of these items are exceptional quality for miniature items and these would also have been made as travellers samples. The turbotiere and the rectangular casserole are particularly unusual items to find in miniature and all items are perfectly well proportioned to go with the stove. The turbotiere is 18.3cm long, the stockpot is 10.5cm. high, the rectangular casserole is 16.4cm. long and the smallest saucepan is 8.3cm. diameter. The items all display well in relation to one another. They are all well made, from heavy gauge copper, and other than the preserve pan they have all been tinned inside, just as their larger counterparts would have been.

All items are in excellent condition and miniatures of this quality are few are far between.

Price includes postage within the U.K. Shipping to the U.S.A. add £100. Most of Western Europe add £50.
