    About this item

An unusual, 19th century copper kettle. This was possibly made for use on a train or barge. It is English and dates from c.1870. It is well made, from a heavy gauge of copper, and has a castellated seam up the side and a folded seam around the base. There is a hollow, folding handle and a flat, strap handle to the lid. It is in very good condition but would no longer be usable for heating water as the tinning to the interior is very worn and the base is no longer flat. It is, however, and unusual, decorative item and would be very attractive used for flower displays.

Dimensions: Height to top of lid 27cm.  Width 37.5cm. Diameter 20.7cm.

Price includes postage within the U.K. Shipping to the U.S.A. add £50. Most of Western Europe add £20.
