About this item
A very small, Victorian copper saucepan and cover. This is English and dates from c.1870. To the base it is stamped with the orb and cross symbol used by Benhams and a large letter ‘L’. The side of the pan is engraved with the initials “H” over “I” and these would be the initials of a previous owner. It is well made, from a heavy gauge of copper, and it has castellated seams around the base and up the side. It has the typical English form of steel handle, with triangular fittings. There is very slight marking to the copper on one side of the pan but otherwise it is in very good condition. The interior has been re-tinned so that it can be used.
Dimensions: Diameter of pan 10.5cm. Depth of pan 7.9cm. Overall length of pan and handle 20cm.
Price includes postage within the U.K. Shipping to the U.S.A. add £30. Most of Western Europe add £15.
