Bearskin Hat & Tunic. Coldstream Guards Sergeant Uniform. C1950.

This handsome and scarce original vintage bearskin hat with wicker inner frame and brass chin chain comes with it's Coldstream Guards heavy scarlet wool tunic and dates from the 1950's.

This Coldstream Guards jacket with it's buttons arranged in pairs, Garter Star collar badge and rose shoulder badge belonged to an Army Sergeant as it also has it's three chevrons on one of the sleeves. The Sergeant is the senior enlisted soldier within a platoon or troop, acting as a second-in-command.

This jacket comes complete with it's white leather parade belt with brass buckle.

The Coldstream Guards are the oldest continuously serving regular regiment in the British Army performing state ceremonial duties and protecting the Monarchy as part of the Household Division.

This vintage bearskin and jacket look wonderful on display and are a real talking piece. An ideal standout decorative piece for a UK tourist shop, London store or film prop.

Condition: Jacket is in very good vintage condition with signs of use in keeping with age. A few small marks wear and a couple of holes. Bearskin hat has some loss to fur, loose hair and some loss when handled. Please see pictures.
