Silk square of eau de nil colour with machined edges. Block printed with images of the State Coach, "ER" crowned cypher & national emblems. Hand painted silver and white highlights. Originally designed by Oliver Messel for Jacqmar, to mark the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II 1953 this pattern was reissued with these silver highlights for the 1977 Silver Jubilee. Messel's sister Anne, was the mother of Antony Armstrong-Jones, 1st Earl of Snowdon (1930 –2017), who married Queen Elizabeth II's sister, Princess Margaret. Messel was thus Princess Margaret's uncle-in-law.
