    About this item

A refined occasional chair that has been restored & re-covered in a Jean-Paul Gaultier Fabric.

A pediment-style top rail with carved detailing and turned spindle back rail and turned front legs.

Understated yet refined, the chair has been expertly restored by our skilled craftspeople. It has been re-webbed and has fresh hessian, horsehair hand tied with bridle ties, cotton felt and topped with FR compliant calico.

Re-covered in a gorgeous fabric, by Jean-Paul Gaultier, the chair would make a stunning and unique statement in any home.

Jean-Paul Gaultier, known as the ‘enfant terrible’ of the fashion world, is renowned for his avant-garde and progressive designs. His collaboration with Lelievre successfully unites haute couture with interior design.

Now in its fourth generation, Lelievre is a design studio and creator of fine fabrics that was established in 1914 at 36 rue des Petits Champs, Paris.

In the 1980s, Lelievre exclusively distributed Alcantara; this is used today as a luxury lining in a selection of bags designed by Louis Vuitton, Paris.

In 1997, Lelievre acquired the iconic French company of Tassinari et Chatel.
