Victorian Satin Birch Antique Dresser Base Sideboard

This is a great quality and good sized Victorian dresser base. It is made in Birch and has been stained to resemble mahogany. It is in lovely condition, including the finish, and has been well looked after. The dresser top is a nice thickness with softly rounded edges and a good colour. The base has three drawers to the left and right of a central single cupboard with drawer above, each with their original flower shaped glass knobs. These are the original Victorian wooden screw in knobs, mostly these have been replaced so it’s really nice to see these still in situ. The drawers are all a good size and the cupboard has a central shelf inside. The cupboard door has a lovely shaped panel. The dresser stands on lovely tulip feet. It’s a really pretty, great quality and practical piece of furniture. It stands straight and steady, no wobbles. All the drawers slide as they should and the cupboard door is secure and hangs well. It has two holes, one at each end of the top, please see picture of one, the other is the same at the opposite end of the top. This is where a mirror or shelf back support would have been attached originallly. The back will have been removed at some point, other than this the dresser is in good order throughout. The price reflects this.
