About this item
A very nice, reclaimed, early Victorian pine and elm corner cupboard. The corner cupboard has a very elegant period appearance with two small drawers at the top and a fixed central panel. The cupboard has scrolling legs below this and the base section has two smaller drawers and a larger central drawer. There is space between the two drawer sections to store items. The legs have scroll detailing and there are buttresses that help secure them, although we believe these were a later addition. The main body of the cupboard is pine and the top is elm. The wood has been waxed and polished and it has a very nice colour. The cupboard is in solid antique condition with some signs of age and wear, as expected. The wood has some splits and cracks and there is some damage to one of the top edges. The wood has some knocks and chips. There is some colour variation and marks. The left hand edge that fits into the corner is slightly uneven as it was perhaps shaved to fit into a space. We have placed a set square on the top of the cupboard (last picture) to show this. Please see pictures for condition details. The corner cupboard has a fine Victorian design and it would add great period character to a home.
