    About this item

A most unusual set of Art Deco early 20th Century silver gilt and enamel spoons, still in their original velvet and satin lined case, along with a gift card ‘From Her Majesty The Queen’ Buckingham Palace.  This rare set is likely to have been a gift from HM The Queen Mother when she was Queen Consort to her husband George VI, based on the hallmarks of the spoons which span three dates in the 1930s (hallmarks for Turner & Simpson, Birmingham 1939, Birmingham 1935 and Walker & Hall, Chester 1938)

Each superb silver spoon is gilded and has alternating green and white enamel to the stem, leading to flower enamel finial and is 9cm long. The mid-blue and gold tooled leather box is 14cm x 12cm x 2cm
