Salvador Dali designed this glass bottle for Italian brand, Rosso Antico, c.1970.
A series of three was produced in different shades of blue, this being the third in the series. However, this version is a variant as its stopper is white whereas black is more common.
From a design perspective, the white stopper works far better. Whether it was a used as a trial or represents a prototype is unclear. It may be that it was more expensive or difficult to produce. What is certain is that it is a rarity compared to its stablemates.
