    A superb trio of tall English cut crystal claret and wine decanters by Thomas Webb, Circxa 1920s.  Each exquisite decanter has been etched with a Royal crown, perhaps as part of a commission to celebrate the Coronation of the a new King.  Excellent quality crystal each decanter has a beautifully handcrafted hollow stopper and star cut bases.  The claret jug is especially grand with a hand applied handles and spout. The set is from an English Country House and is one of a number of matching sets which include tumblers, wine, pudding, aperitif and port glasses. Please enquire for details if interested.

    In the original Wellington pattern, The Wellington design was first introduced in 1894 and was given the pattern number B170. Named after Arthur Wellesley,The Duke Of Wellington who made such a historic contribution serving his Sovereign land with equal effect as a soldier,Statesman and Prime Minister. The Wellington pattern exemplifies the romantic splendour of the Victorian period.
