About this item
An exemplary pair of 19th Century Victorian Gothic vine etched green glass tall bottle decanters with fluted necks and facet cut original stoppers, English Circa 1850.
Victorian Gothic was inspired by artist/designer Augusta-Charles Pugin and became the defining and recognisable style of the era. Tall bottle decanters looked glamorous in the dark, dramatic dining rooms of the Victorians filled with wines, but work well today for wine or water.
