    A stunning Victorian silver and glass decanter or claret jug, made in Birmingham in 1869 by Elkington & Co. Started in 1836 the family business of Elkington & Co. survived in various guises until 1963. This claret jug has a cast silver top with Bacchanalian designs and is fully hallmarked on three places. The glass is beautifully acid etched with fern leaves and has a star cut bottom. This decanter is in excellent condition with no damage or repairs.
