Antique Goliath Nickel Pocket Watch in Silver Art Nouveau Case, Hallmarked for Birmingham 1904
An antique Goliath nickel pocket watch with telephone dial, made in Switzerland in the 1900’s. The Goliath pocket watch lies in silver Art Nouveau case, hallmarked for silver Birmingham 1904.
DIAL: The white enamel telephone dial has Roman numerals in blue guilloche enamelled discs with outer minute divisions. The dial has blued hands with a subsidiary second’s dial at the six.
MOVEMENT: The anchor lever movement is in great condition; however, we cannot guarantee accuracy for an antique pocket watch.
CASE: The watch lies in a Goliath open face steel case with a smooth finish. The inner side of the case is stamped: Metal Argentan.
The Goliath pocket watch lies in a late Victorian silver Art Nouveau case. The case is hallmarked for silver Birmingham 1904. The watch holder has a stand to keep the watch upright. The case is signed: by A. & J. Zimmerman (Arthur & John Zimmerman) and decorated with stylish flowers, the rear with an easel stand, the interior lined with green velour and silk.
