About this item
This very elegant double inkwell was made by the English company Booths in the 1900s.
The inkwell has a shaped tray with raised sides and two ink holders with gilded lids and removable inner inkwells.
The base is stamped "Booths Silicon china, made in England".
The set is a vibrant rust, black and gold with an exotic oriental design including willow trees, boats and birds.
Overall in very good condition throughout, there is some slight crazing to the base of the stand. The small handles on the inkwell lids show signs of historic repair but expertly done and does not detract.
Dimensions approx:
Stand: width 25cm, height 3.7cm, depth 12.4cm
Inkwells each: height 7.9cm, diameter 6.8cm
