About this item
A nicely made Dutch silver miniature dining chair with barley twist legs, stretchers and back frame. An imitation rush seat and the back panel embossed with a romantic scene of a courting couple, him seated on a bench and her standing with a fan held to her face. Dutch export mark to the back panel and full English import marks for Sheffield 1893, importer Samuel Boyce Landeck. There are also a set of pseudo/fantasy marks to the base.
It measures 5.3cm (2 1/8") high, 2.5cm (1") wide and 2.2cm (7/8") deep and weighs 14g / 0.5ozt.
Condition is very good, no damage and it stands well. Very minor handling wear, the marks are good and clear; the embossed scene wouldn't have been finely defined on a piece such as this.
