This is seal was designed to be used with hot wax for sealing letters.
I have made an impression of this seal using hot wax to show that the seal works as intended and also to give a clearer image of the intaglio.
The wax impression comes in a small plastic case and is included with the seal.
This seal has a damaged stone which is reflected in the price
This is a gilt Victorian seal
The seal has a square base with a red hard stone
The stone is engraved with initial intaglio of BG – the stone is damaged.
The shank is decorated with a carved base and carved strut handle.
The seal is topped with a suspension loop.
The seal measures 28mm x 18mm x 14mm
