About this item
This seal has a base carved with an intaglio and was designed to be used with hot wax for sealing letters.
I have made an impression of this seal using hot wax to show that the seal works as intended and also to give a clearer image of the intaglio.
The wax impression comes in a small plastic case and is included with the seal
This small gilt metal seal has an oval base set with a red glass stone with a claw setting and engraved with the name “MaryAnn”
The seal has an ornately carved base and strut handle and is topped with a suspension loop.
The seal measures 20mm x 14mm x 11mm and is in 90% mint condition –there are also traces of metal coming through the gilding
